How To Make The Perfect Iced Mocha

I admit it, I love iced coffee. More than love. I've had to impose strict rules to keep myself from drinking WAY too many of them every day. In fact, in general iced coffee is the only place I have dairy any more (I'm looking for a substitute, but haven't found one I like.) Today I thought I'd share my technique for the perfect iced mocha coffee.

What You'll Need:

-Cold Coffee (you can make this using cold brewed coffee, which is SUPER yummy, or just brew some up and let it chill)

-Milk (I use whole milk, if you use Almond Milk, or Coconut Milk, or Raw Milk, that's totally cool too)

-Chocolate Syrup (Mine is made using this recipe and it's FABULOUS)

-Ice

Put the ice in your cup, then add the coffee and milk, (whatever ratios you like in hot coffee will work here too. I am not using amounts because I judge based off my cup, so I know how much my cup takes, so just make it the same as you would hot coffee). Mix those two together, then drizzle in about a tablespoon of chocolate syrup. I know it has sugar, but it's pretty small and this is my only source of added sugar. If you want to try to make it with stevia, go ahead, or you can just skip it. But I wouldn't. Mix the chocolate syrup in, and then drink! So tasty!

Pre Wedding Cleaning

Wow. Today has been SUPER busy. I have been cleaning. Well, technically I've been organizing. I cleaned out a closet. You all know how that goes. I've taken step by step photos of how to organize your clothes and other belongings as well. I truly believe that having as few of belongings as possible leads to a happier life. I'm going to prove it as well, by showing everyone my underwear collection. *yipes* Proof after the cut:

De-Clutter

I am a Taurus. I like things. No, perhaps that's not right. I ADORE things. Cute apron? Must own it. High heel shoes with the super cute ruffle and the rounded toes? Here's my cash please. Does it matter that they don't, won't and CAN'T ever fit? Nope, not even a little. I own them. I like owning things.

Here's the thing though. I don't get attached to things. When people say they like something of mine, I usually give it to them. That precious Care Bears collection I spent years building? It didn't fit in the car, so it didn't get taken. I didn't feel bad about it either.

I tend to accumulate things. Things that have no intrinsic value. Things like pens and cute notebooks with two pages written in. That's a big one. I have a whole box of notebooks with the first few pages written in. Sure I have books, but I have sold most of my books over the years because I was poor, needed the money, and let's face it, I can always buy more. They're just things. Things that I loved, things I still love, things I can't help but get, and things that are ok to let go of.

We've got the wedding coming up in a little over a week now (ohcrapohcrapohcrap) and I need to clean. This means de cluttering. Because even if I only have two bins of clothing, it's two bins more than I need when I wear the same thing every day. Because we may or may not need space in the house for two people to sleep, and those two boxes full of my crap are taking up space and I haven't even looked in them for 6 months. Clearly, I don't need what's in them.

So. Time to vacuum. Time to dust. Time to sweep and mop. And time to remove clutter. Because if we can't take charge of our possessions, then we don't own them, they own us.
